Day 1

Travel to Sipi Falls & Waterfall Exploration

Depart from Kampala/Entebbe in the morning for the scenic drive to Sipi Falls, located on the slopes of Mount Elgon in Eastern Uganda. The approximately 5-6 hour journey takes you through picturesque landscapes, tea plantations, and traditional farming communities. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch with spectacular views of the waterfalls and surrounding valleys. In the afternoon, embark on a guided hike to explore the three stunning Sipi Falls. The hike takes you through coffee plantations, local villages, and viewpoints offering breathtaking panoramas. Learn about the local culture and coffee production process from your guide. Return to your lodge in the evening to relax and enjoy dinner as you listen to the soothing sounds of the waterfalls.

Day 2

Transfer to Pian Upe & Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, enjoy some free time to take in the morning views of Sipi Falls before beginning your transfer to Pian Upe Game Reserve. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours through the beautiful Karamoja region. Arrive at your accommodation within or near the reserve and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive through Pian Upe's vast savannah plains. This second-largest conservation area in Uganda is home to unique wildlife including cheetahs, ostriches, roan antelopes, Jackson's hartebeests, and buffaloes. The reserve's diverse habitats support over 300 bird species. As the sun begins to set, enjoy spectacular views of the wilderness before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Early Morning Game Drive & Return to Kampala/Entebbe

Rise before dawn for a special early morning game drive to spot nocturnal animals as they return from their nighttime activities and diurnal species as they begin their day. This is the best time for wildlife viewing, with increased chances of spotting predators and other elusive animals in the cool morning air. Watch the sunrise over the expansive plains of Pian Upe, creating magical lighting for photography. Return to your lodge for a hearty breakfast before beginning your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe. The return drive takes you through different landscapes with lunch stops along the way. Arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon or at Entebbe International Airport in time for evening flights, filled with memories of waterfalls and wilderness.
