After lunch, take a tour through local communities, visiting African craft centers to view and support local artisans. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Your guide will brief you on the next day’s gorilla trek.

After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing with expert rangers. Depart Bwindi for a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, passing vibrant tea plantations and rural towns like Ntungamo. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Fort Portal. Return to your lodge for dinner and relax under the stars, listening to the sounds of the rainforest.

After an early breakfast, transfer to Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a chimpanzee trekking briefing at 8:00 AM. Join a small group (maximum 8 people) led by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers to track a habituated chimpanzee troop. The trek lasts 2-3 hours with a 95%+ chance of encountering chimps, spending one hour observing their behaviors.
Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, visit a local community near Bigodi for a 2-hour cultural tour, engaging with Batoro or Bakiga people, learning about their traditions and crafts, and purchasing handmade souvenirs.
